SOS gibbon

There are 9 species of gibbons.

All these species are endangered due to deforestation and poaching of wich they are victims.

The Timba Conservation Association and Jurques Zoo give finacial support to the Kalaweit project, which is working towards reintroducing gibbons into Indonesia.

SOS tortues

The turtles present in the village come from customs seizures in Madagascar. The turtles’ village is a refuge for these poached animals.

For the last two years, the Timba Conservation association has paid the salary of one of the guardians of the turtles’ village.
