The zoo is also involved in the EEP with other French zoos, while
subsidising organisations that work for the reintroduction of animals into
their natural milieu (in their natural habitats).

These protection programmes work according to a system of exchange.
Money is never at any moment taken into consideration as a motivating
factor.
The zoo that joins in this type of initiative commits to making
its animals available.
Each of them is listed on a European register.
A coordinator contacts the zoos concerned according to the species that are intended for reproduction.
Analyses are done on the animals in order to conserve the purest possible
species.

The objective is to reintroduce the animal into its natural habitat.
Our snow leopards, Siberian tigers and our lemurs, for example, are
listed on the EEP registers.
Once the
“contract” has been accepted, the zoo is not in a position to refuse the
exchange of its animal.
JURQUES participates in 22 EEPs.
