WHITE LION

In 2004, Timba and Nyala came to live in Jurques Zoo. Visitors can but find the grace and beauty of these animals arresting. They are the living symbols of the zoological gardens.   

The legend  of the white lion has been told in South Africa for centuries.This legend became reality in 1975 when two white lion cubs were found in the Timbavati game reserve, near the Kruger National Park.
The white lion is a divine animal according to African beliefs, which consider that it is lucky to meet its gaze.
